The beauty in nature is awe inspiring but the ability to capture that beauty with a camera is often elusive to all but the most accomplished photographers. So often the light changes or the wildlife moves and we end up with lots of good photos but not "the one perfect photo". A custom painting can transform your honeymoon or vacation photos, photos your took at the zoo, on a hike, or in your backyard, into a beautiful painting that you can enjoy everyday.

Using a your photos for reference, I can produce a custom painting that captures the specific elements that appeal to you. During the painting process, elements can be moved, removed or added to reflect your memories most accurately.

In order to get started,  I will need one or more reference photos and some details about what the place means to you and how it makes you feel. I can use digital or printed photos and will return any hard copies to you. In most cases I can work with the photos you have, however where time and location permit, I can take reference photos for you.

Pastel Paint
Pastels are my preferred medium for fine art. I love the direct application of this medium and the luminous quality of the color. To paint with pastels is to paint with the most pure form of pigment.

Pastel paint is a dry paint medium in the form of sticks. The sticks are made from powdered color pigments that are bound together with a minimum of resin or gum binders. These are the very same pigments used for oil, watercolor or acrylic paints.

Because of its purity, pastel paint is the most permanent of all paint mediums. If framed under glass, a pastel painting will remain unchanged for generations.
